“For this series, Klimas spent six months and about 1,000 shots to produce the final images from his studio in Düsseldorf, Germany. The resulting images are Klimas’s attempt to answer the question ‘What does music look like?’”

i was just thinking about this concept last night. i wish i had a music player that did this

GUESS WHAT.

Your music player CAN do this.

How to achieve ^ that affect:

Step 1) Get some cornstarch and some water. Mix together. Add food colouring, cuz it’s cool.

Step 2) Get old stereo, fuck around with it until you have an exposed speaker dish.

Step 3) Splotch cornstarch/water mixture on top.

Step 4) Turn on some music.

Step 5) Be amazed at this weird fucking liquid you’ve just created.

It’s actually a non-newtonian fluid. Click link, is fab.

When the ice starts to melt under the image, the ink dissolves into water and starts to slowly fade away. Her process, working and printing on ice allows her to step above everyday physical and chronological limitations. She can freeze time and control when it starts to unfreeze or thaw” (Thaw to Spring Works, exhibition at Eggman & Walrus Art, Santa Fe, NM, March 16 - April 1, 2012).
